We made it home

We are home. Everyone survived. It was a good trip. Thanks to everyone who followed us with this blog. We arrived home on Wednesday morning at 3:00 Am. We found several geocaches on this trip. We watched our friend get married. Micah was in the wedding. We saw lots of cool stuff. It was a great trip. Oh and if you get to go to Ft. Worth TX sometime. It is well worth it

heading home

we are on our way home today. it has been a fun trip. (yesterday lisa did trip and spill her eggs and juice) patience is starting to get thin. and it will be good to get home. yesterday we toured a winery. they had good wine but the roure was bad. we didnt really get to see much. It is 7:44am and it sounds like everyone is still sleeping. we still have laundry to do and get the stuff to the car (not sure how everything is going to fit but it will. thanks for reading about our adventure

We are in Dallas

We got to Dallas last night real late. We left late and stopped what
seemed like everywhere. However we did get to see the tow truck that
inspired the tow mater from cars ( Picts later). Not sure what all is
going ok today but I am sure we will try to cache.

Wednesday

Tonight we went to Dixie Stampede. This is fun normaly and today was even more fun. Before we ate our server said. Do you guys (me and julie) want to go on the floor and help us. so we did we got to ride a stick horse. us and another couple against two couples from the other side. It was fun and we won. Tomorrow we are headed to Texas. If the saying is correct everything is bigger in texas i am hoping the caches are

Tuesday

Today we went to Silver Dollar city. It was fun. We rode rides and saw lots of fun stuff. We also hit two caches. Tomorrow we plan on going to ride the ducks and then maybe do a winery tour. Then we are doing Dixie Stampied. it will be fun.

Monday - Morning

Its Monday morning. We woke up and ate a breakfast of food that we brought with us. we are trying to limit the times that we eat out. My sister-inlaw has some tickets for silver dollar city. We will be doing that later on in the week. We found that there are ways to take vacation very cheap. we are staying in a condo that julie's grandma owns if we wernt staying here we could be staying at KOA campgrounds they are cheap and have some good cabins to stay in. Today i think we are just going down town and hanging out. maybe a cache or two. We will see

It was a long trip but we are here. It took a long time. We are at
branson. No real trouble we left a little late

Geobash

We are on our way to Midwest Geobash. We will come back home tonight and sleep at home and leave on Sunday morning at 5:00 am. We cant wait it will be a fun trip.

Coupons

One of the things that we found to help cut costs on the trip is looking for coupons. You can find them at many online places. we also are going to to take a cooler and pack our lunches and we are going and buy some supplies along the way. we arnt going as far this time since we changed our plans but still need to buy stuff

Lost my Job

I was laid off from my job This past week. I was worried that i wouldnt be able to go on the trip. I know if i find a job most employers will say ok you can go but you cant get paid for it. That is exactly my problem. I was counting on income coming in while i was gone so i can pay my bills. We already have most of the actual trip paid for so i was thinking that julie and the kids would just go. However julie and i both really want me to be able to go. So here is what we are doing. We are going to be blogging and video blogging the whole time about how to take a trip on a budget and make it fun. I know you have lots of good ways to spend your money. I am asking that you please help support the income that i wont be getting while we are on this trip. In exchange we will bring you tips on how to go on a trip and do it cheaply. Planning

This summer a friend of ours is getting married in Texas. So we were just going to fly down there but then Julies mom decided she wanted to take a road trip and it was a good idea. So there you have it. a road trip to texas. Below you will find our maps of our preliminary route. And before you even ask i am going to be running a caching along a route PQ at geocaching. and PQ's for the are we are staying in every night. We are spending the night at midwest geobash then heading out Sunday morning. This blog will be our stories from the trip and its planning
